today this blog is officially 1 year old!

so, on this joyous occasion i thought id share a few stats with all ya’ll. now i didnt have any kind of analytics set up for the first 4 months so these statistics are based on the last 8 months…and away we go…

this is the 150th post.

visits/ monthly average 240 / total 1921

unique visitors/ monthly average 68 / total 547

pageviews/ monthly average 799 / total 6399

traffic/ direct 14% / referred 83% / search engine 3%

countries with multiple visitors/ usa, canada, brazil, australia, united kingdom, honduras & denmark

visitor loyalty/ 1-15 visits 63% / 16-50 visits 21% / 51-200 visits 16%

i dont care about stats, but they do tell me a little about becoming more effective and what kind of content you respond to more than others, when you read and so on. id love to hear what you think directly from your keyboards. what would you like to see more/less of? is the site user friendly? do i post to much or to little?  pros and cons and all that stuff.

im pretty split on why i blog.

my goal has been to not be a ‘just this’ or an ‘only that’ type of blog, but to maintain a balance of all the things that make up who i am. sometimes its ridiculous and random. other times its focused on more serious stuff. i didnt want to get locked into creating only one product. thats probably good and bad.

anyhow i hope that it has been of some kind of benefit to you, whether it made you laugh or got you thinking. i look forward to the next year and what it will bring for all of us.
